A Letter from Pastor Charissa

Dear friends,

I want to take a moment to say thank you.

Thank you for all the love and support that you showed on June 2nd after unanimously voting to change my terms from temporary to installed. This is such a huge and joyful step in our journey together and I couldn’t be more delighted.

Thank you for trusting me enough to follow me along this crazy, unpredictable journey. We’ve got nothing to lose and everything to gain, so let’s keep up this great momentum! I have full faith that you all have it in you to continue this growth into something new.

Thank you for your flexibility, creativity, and imagination. This is what it takes to move forward. Let’s keep trying crazy stuff!

My challenge to you as we keep moving forward: keep getting more out of the box! Heck, let’s burn the box! If we never had a box in the first place, what would we do with the idea of “worshiping community” or “outreach”? I bet it would look different than even the new stuff we’re trying now!

The future is bright, friends! On June 2nd, when I shared with you my testimony, I also said one thing that drew me to you all was that you knew this arrangement was weird and different and I LOVE weird and different. Let’s keep building a reputation for being weird and different!

You are all such a blessing in my life! Ask anyone out there, I brag about you guys ALL THE TIME. You are all so brave and creative and gracious.  Keep up the great work!

Blessings,

Pastor Charissa
