What’s Happening at Emsworth Church this fall?

What’s happening at St. Andrew’s and Emsworth this fall?

On Sundays, it’s worship day. Year-round, the early birds at Emsworth worship at 9:30, while St. Andrew’s worships a little later at 11:30. Whether you rise with the sun or take it slow on Sunday mornings, there is a service at the right time for you! Worship is always free of charge!

Monday mornings beginning Sept. 10, we will gather with coaches Matt and Jen for a functional fitness class for older adults. In this class, we’ll cover strength and skills for everyday life. Can you lift that milk jug without wrenching your elbow? Can you get that box off the top shelf without dropping it? If you fall, how do you get back up safely? While we encourage regular attendance, feel free to drop in once or twice and see if it’s for you! Recommended donation: $5/class.

Twice a month beginning Sept. 11, we’ll gather for knitting and crochet. There will be instruction for beginners who want to learn or get better (with a professional instructor), and fellowship for those who already know and just want to sit with others and work on their projects. On the second Tuesday, we’ll meet in the morning at Emsworth Church, on the fourth Thursday, we’ll meet in the afternoon at St. Andrew’s. No cost.

Lunch with the Pastor was such a hit over the summer that we’re keeping it going! Bring your theological questions, questions about the Bible, discussion topics, stupid jokes, and more. On the third Tuesday of the month, we meet at Sunny Jim’s in Emsworth and on the first Thursday, we meet at Bruegger’s Bagels in Sewickley. Cost of lunch varies by location.

Wednesday evenings are midweek Bible Study night starting Sept. 12! We are studying the parables this fall and the study is open to all. We’ll be meeting at 7pm every Wednesday evening at Emsworth. There is no charge for Bible study, but you’re welcome to bring snacks!
